Polyxeni Tsatsopoulou-Kaloudi explores the topography and location of ancient Greek cities and settlements οn the coastline of the Evros Prefecture. Two of her major contributions involve the investigation of the route of Via Egnatia in Thrace and the organization of programs for the promotion and utilization of the archaeological site of Zone. She has published many scientific articles in conference proceedings, encyclopaedias and Greek and foreign archeological journals. Moreover, she is the author of two archeological guides for ancient Zone and Via Egnatia, and she has also published with a team of collaborators the excavations-results of the sanctuary of Apollo in ancient Zone.
