Amalia Avramidou

Amalia Avramidou (PhD Classics, Johns Hopkins University) has a research agenda that covers a wide range of topics in ancient Greek art and archeology. Her focus lies on the study of pottery and iconography, on ancient Thrace, and on intercultural relations in the Mediterranean. Her current research projects include, in addition to the HFRI program, the study of the finds from the Sanctuary of the Parthenos in ancient Neapolis (Kavala) and Theater in ancient Thrace, as 2019-2020 Getty Scholar.
